Our Founder
Kevin L. Bland Jr.
Mr. Bland is a true son of Memphis, having been born there and raised in Pine Bluff, AR. His journey of service and leadership began right after he graduated from Hillcrest High School, when he chose to serve his country. This dedication launched a distinguished 11-year military career, taking him from the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment to the 467th Engineer Battalion, and currently to his role in the 340th Public Affairs where he serves as a Public Affairs Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO).
Following his military service, Mr. Bland returned to academia, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Pre-Law at LeMoyne-Owen College. His campus life has been marked by significant leadership roles: he has served as the parliamentarian of the Student Government Association, the first president and founder of Culture 4 Change, president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and a member of Collegiate 100. Through these roles, he has worked tirelessly to make a positive impact both on campus and beyond.
Mr. Bland's commitment to service extends deeply into the non-profit sector. His efforts have been wide-ranging, from his work with the South Memphis Alliance to founding his own organizations—Culture 4 Change and The Kingdom Believers Movement (formerly known as The Institution of Bible Scholars). These initiatives reflect his dedication to fostering a better community and his belief in proactive, impactful action.
Dedicated, compassionate, and tireless, Mr. Bland is driven by a commitment to give back to the community that raised him. He aspires to illuminate the world with his contributions, touching lives one person at a time with his unwavering light and boundless heart. His story is a testament to the profound impact of dedicated service and how it can shape not just individual lives but the fabric of entire communities.
